I started training with James about 3 months ago, I wanted to get back in shape after a motorcycle accident. I broke my leg in the crash and while I was recovering my fitness had dropped. James has been amazing, he’s worked with me to make my leg stronger and there has been a massive improvement. Thanks James
I have always done a lot of working out and kept fit. I started training with James because I had a lot of friends telling me about how good the sessions were and the results they were getting. I have now been going to James for about 5 months and really pleased with the changes, as well as having a laugh!
I had been overweight for years and it was making me pretty depressed, I only started training with James about 4 months ago and in that time I have lost 3 stone!! I am now the lightest I have been since I can remember. I have never felt so fit and happy with myself. I now train with James 3 times a week, he is constantly setting me new targets to work towards while encouraging and supporting me.
I have a good time training with James, I am always completely knackered after the sessions and have been seeing some amazing results!
I’ve trained in karate and Thai boxing but James is by far the best martial artist I have ever met, not to mention the nicest guy you could ever wish to meet. Everything you do with James is based around you so you develop a stronger skill set much quicker and nothing is ever too much trouble, if you need to go over something 30 times it’s never an issue and James puts you completely at ease!
Each lesson is different and made fun but you always learn something new and you walk out of the gym feeling epic!
I would recommend James to anybody for any aspect of training, he’s extremely professional and always knows the best way to get you to any target you have set, he’s a huge part of my life now and I still look forward to every lesson!

Asif – My son is 6 years old and and my daughter is 8. They both started 1-1 kick boxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu lessons with James seven months ago. The reason being as a parent I was concerned they may encounter bullying in school and i wanted equip them with the tools to deal with this.
The kids love the sessions.James is very patient with them and makes learning fun. He is very approachable and provides lots of encouragement and motivation. He listens to our requirements and amends his training plan accordingly. The results have been amazing. Both kids now have increased confidence/ self esteem, increased fitness levels, improved discipline/ concentration, they have learned to avoid confrontation plus avoid being a victim of bullying.

Martin Folan – I have known James now for over fifteen years. He came to me as a high grade in Karate, he was an exceptional kicker and I knew he would be a student willing to learn. His boxing then become on par with his kicking skills. He was introduced to Ju Jitsu and Judo, to which again he picked up on quickly. With now doing grappling and striking arts, he entered MMA competition, to which he became a British Champion.
James assisted with teaching in the classes and on seminars. He always trains hard and encourages those who are training with him, whether they wish to compete or not. I see James as someone who can bring out real ability in who he is coaching. As a Martial Artist, James is a complete one. He has the respect off others and gives respect to those around him.
